Founded in 1988 in Paris by Marie-Hélène de La Forest Divonne, Galerie La Forest Divonne specializes in contemporary art and represents around thirty artists in all artistic practices. Since its expansion to Saint-Germain-des-Prés (Paris) in 2015, the gallery has implemented a strong development strategy, driven in particular by the opening of a large space in Brussels in 2016. The number of exhibitions has thus increased from 6 to 12 per year, and the number of fairs in which the gallery participates each year, from 2 to 9, in 2019.

Galerie La Forest Divonne is looking for its new Gallery Manager in Brussels. He / She will be the gallerist's right hand, collaborating with him on all aspects of the gallery, from the preparation of the exhibitions to the sale of the artworks. He / She will be particularly responsible for stocks of artworks, transports and databases, and will have the mission of developing the activity in Flanders, Dutch is therefore a prerequisite for this position.

The new Gallery Manager joins a team of 7 people in total, in Paris and Brussels.

Main tasks (including but not limited to):

  • Welcoming visitors
  • Sales
  • Preparing exhibitions and art fairs
  • Newsletters, updating website and social networks
  • Stock : incoming and outgoing artworks, shipments, inventories
  • Updating of client and stock database
  • Developping collector base in Flanders


  • Diploma in art history, diploma in business or communication would be a plus. Professional experience in the art market or in culture in general. Availability, involvement and motivation are essential qualities for this position.

Main skills required:

  • Pack office proficiency
  • Fluent in French, Dutch and English
  • Proficiency in InDesign and Photoshop is a plus
  • Contract: Full time job at the gallery in Brussels
  • Hours : From Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 7pm (Plus events, exhibition set up and art fairs)
  • Salary : Depending on experience
  • Starting : May 11th, 2021
