Art handler
Jan Mot has established close, long-term collaborations with a relatively small group of artists, with whom it develops projects in- and outside of the gallery space. The gallery grew out of a nameless living room in Brussels in 1992. Four years later, under the name Galerie Mot & Van den Boogaard, it moved to an independent space in the center of Brussels. In 2002, the gallery moved to a larger space in the same street and changed its name to Jan Mot. Since 2017, the gallery is located in the Petit Sablon, Brussels. It takes part in two international contemporary art fairs per year and organizes regular projects with curators and artists not represented by the gallery.
