Technical aid for exhibition
Arts Studio
- Thom Kubli, Brussel
- Type: Deeltijds
- Deadline: 28/9/2024
Over deze job
We seek a technical aid with mechatronic skills and a vivid interest in art for a big art show called EmotionAIR in Brussels.
She/he/they would be responsible for maintaining and—if required—troubleshooting the artwork Black Hole Horizon, a crucial piece of the show. The work could be described as a musical instrument that needs regular tuning of its elements. It is technically complex, implying circuits of compressed air, fluid pumps, and kinetic parts driven by servo motors. Further, it uses MaxMsp, Arduino, and Touch OSC. For the exchange of kinetic parts good manual skills are helpful.
We are particularly looking for someone in Brussels or nearby. The working environment is highly professional and friendly. The job requires a high degree of responsibility and reliability.
The working time comprises a weekly maintenance visit on one day (ideally Friday) of 3-4 hours, and if technical emergencies occur, a responsibility to go asap for troubleshooting.
The show will run from 28.09.2024 to approx.15.12.2024. Introduction to the system will be between 22.09. and 27.09.2024.
Remuneration according to agreement and qualifications
